Back Premier League: West Brom vs Tottenham Hotspur preview

Fresh Capital One Cup finalists Tottenham will be trying to become the first team to defeat Tony Pulis's West Bromwich Albion when they meet on Saturday. Spurs qualified for the League Cup final on Wednesday as a late Christian Eriksen goal pushed them past League One side Sheffield United. The Danish attacking midfielder has also scored the decisive goal for Tottenham in their last Premier League game, the 2-1 victory over Sunderland.

Tottenham are currently three points away from the Champions League places while West Brom are three points above the relegation zone. However, the Baggies are unbeaten in three matches and have conceded just one goal since Tony Pulis took charge. Tottenham and West Brom might also meet on the transfer market before the end of deadline-day next Monday as Spurs reportedly want to buy striker Saido Berahino as a replacement for Emmanuel Adebayor, who might move on loan at Paris Saint-Germain.

Winger Nacer Chadli is likely to make his return for Spurs while Nabil Bentaleb will miss out as he is still on Africa Cup of Nations duty with Algeria. West Brom might field new signing Callum McManaman, who joined the club for £4.75m from Wigan Athletic. Youssouf Mulumbu and Jason Davidson are still away on international duty. West Brom defeated Tottenham 1-0 at White Hart Lane in September.

Probable line-ups:

West Brom: Foster - Wisdom, McAuley, Lescott, Baird - Morrison, Gardner, Yacob, Brunt - Berahino, Anichebe

Spurs: Lloris - Walker, Fazio, Vertonghen, Rose - Mason, Dembele; - Chadli, Eriksen, Lamela - Kane

My prediction: 1-1 draw.

Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

West Brom win - 19/10 Draw - 23/10 Tottenham win - 13/8
