Tottenham travel to Sheffield United on Wednesday in the second led of the Capital One Cup semi finals with a shaky 1-0 lead to defend after the first leg. Last week it was Andros Townsend who clinched it for the Spurs, but they needed a penalty kick to do that. The result took Tottenham's winning streak to three games but it came to an end last weekend when they were knocked out of the FA Cup by Leicester City.
Sheffield United have had inconsistent results recently, they won two, lost three and drew one of their last six matches. They have a good background in the cup competitions though, losing just three of their last nineteen matches in the two domestic cups. Tottenham have won the League Cup for times, Sheffield United never managed to get their hands on the trophy.
Hugo Lloris, Jan Vertonghen, Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen are all expected to be in the starting eleven as manager Mauricio Pochettino has no fresh injury concerns. Jamie Murphy, Chris Basham and Louis Reed could all return for Sheffield United after missing Saturday's 1-1 draw with Preston North End in the FA Cup.

I think that only reason why Tottenham win in this two matches is experience. Tottenham have a lot experience in playing games in knockout system. They played Europa League and they know how to go to the next round. The key for both games is that penalty in first game, player of Sheffield touch the ball with hand and from that penalty Tottenham win first game and with that loss it was hard to play at home for Sheffield. Sheffield United still have their chances after just 1-0 loss in the first game. And Tottenham needed a penalty kick to clinch the victory so they are still the big favourites on paper but do not underestimate the Blades who are capable to make the life difficult for Spurs.

After very bad first game for Tottenham on White Hart Lane and win of just 1-0, I'm pretty sure that they will play better in this match. I'm not sure that Pochettino will play with first team in this game because in Saturday they will play against WBA in Premier League. Anyway I believe that Tottenham will go trough this...
