Real Madrid have completed the signing of young midfielder Lucas Silva from Brazilian club Cruzeiro for a reported fee of around 10 million pounds. The 21-year-old player passed a medical check on Monday and signed a contract with his new club until the end of June 2020. Silva is a Brazilian under-21 international and has led his club to league titles in 2013 and 2014.
"This is a dream come true," said Silva. "I am delighted to be here. I thank God, the Cruzeiro and Real Madrid presidents and everyone who helped make this happen. I am really happy and motivated. I've come to Real Madrid to learn and above all else to help. I feel good and am ready to honour this shirt, which belongs to the best club in the world. I've liked Real Madrid every since I was a child, I'm really happy to be in the city and I'm certain that I will live very well here."
This is the second January signing for the Blancos, who have bought 16-year-old midfielder Martin Odegaard last week. That transfer cost 2.3 million pounds as the Norwegian prodigy moved from Stromsgodset. Reigning European champions Real are currently one point clear at the top of the Primera Liga.
Real Madrid are 2/5 at Bet365 to win the Primera Liga title this season.

On first look Real Madrid doing great job this January. But so far nobody knows that. If you remember all players from Brazil who came to Real Madrid you know that they was making a lot of mistakes in that transfers. Robinho, Cicinho, Kaka are just few of a lot players who didn't played well in Real Madrid and everybody...

You never know when young Brazilian footballer comes to Europe for the first time. How he will adapt to the different environment, way of live and finally on the field. I have never seen Lucas Silva in play and can't comment his qualities as a player but this is not a great amount of money for young guy like him.

I think that is another great transfer for Real Madrid. In this transfer window they sign that kid from Norway and Lucas and I think that is great because they are both great players and most important they are both young players. At this moment I think that they won't play because there is no space for them but they could...

Haha.. I don't play Football Manager more Johnny, maybe that is why I didn't heard for this Lucas Silva. But I did saw some videos from his skills on YouTube and I must say that this guy is a big talent. But Brazilian and European football is very different, so we will see if he can "grow up" his game here or he will be...

I think that there is no chance that we will see this guy actually to play in Real's first team in nearly future, but I'm sure that they have some plans with this guy and for his future. Good luck Lucas ;)
