Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers insists his side can finish in the Premier League top four after salvaging a 2-2 draw against Arsenal last weekend. Martin Skrtel scored the equaliser no less than seven minutes into stoppage time. Liverpool are currently 10th in the Premier League table, nine points behind surprising fourth-placed West Ham.
Rodgers said: "Can we now challenge for the top four? Yes. Absolutely. The most important thing is that we are moving in the right direction again. The way we fought back to equalise with 10 men says everything about the team and its character. This a group of players with the talent to win games, as we did when we won 11 in succession last season, and that can quickly move you up the league."
However, Liverpool are without a league win in three games. Rodgers does have some hope of improvement from the return of striker Daniel Sturridge as he should recover from a thigh injury. "Slowly we are getting back to where we want to be. Our performance was outstanding," Rodgers added. "Our passing was crisp. When you add that to the pressing and intensity that was back in our game, and then hopefully bring Daniel Sturridge back in January, then we can get back to being the team we were last season."
Liverpool are currently 8/1 at Bet365 to secure a top-four finish at the end of the season.

I don't see how Liverpool will be in the battle for the top four places this season.I don't think that only problem is the leaving of Luis Suarez, but luck of quality in many of there players.Liverpool is not even near to the previous season standard of play.Lambert have too few chances to play and he is a class number...

Brendan Rogers is good manager. He proved that last year with Liverpool. When it comes to this years bad results I didn't see problem just in Brendan Rogers, yes he is part of the problem, but we can't say that just he is a reason of bad results. When it comes to this years bad results I didn't see problem just in Brendan Rogers, yes he is part of the problem, but we can't say that just he is a reason of bad results. Liverpool lost their best attacker during the summer and they get some good players like Balotelli and Lallana, but something just didn't work. Like kkole said he must have some reason to say something like this and I personally believe in that.

I think that Brendan Rogers don't say this without a reason. I watched Liverpool last game against Arsenal and game before that in capital one cup. I think that they play much better and I think that they are different team now. I can see than fighting for every single ball and they play much faster and at the end I think...
