Back Serie A: Cagliari vs Juventus preview

Italian champions Juventus will be looking to return to winning ways when they face Cagliari on Thursday. After a run of four consecutive wins Juventus recorded two successive draws, and their lead at the top of the Serie A table was cut to just one point by second-placed Roma.

Fernando Llorente and Andrea Pirlo were not in the starting line up last weekend against Sampdoria, but they should make their return against Cagliari, probably replacing Alvaro Morata and Arturo Vidal.

Cagliari also need the three points quite badly as well. They have not won in seven matches and now occupy the final relegation place. A win could see them move out of the danger area, but that's a lot easier said than done for Zdenek Zeman's side.

Probable starting line-ups:

Cagliari: Cragno - Rossettini, Ceppitelli, Avelar, Balzano - Conti, Ekdal , Cossu, Crisetig, Farias - Longo

Juventus: Buffon - Evra, Bonucci, Ogbonna, Lichtsteiner - Pirlo, Marchisio, Pogba, Pereyra - Tevez, Llorente

My prediction: Juventus to win 2-1.

Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

Cagliari win - 7/1 Draw - 7/2 Juventus win - 2/5
