Back Primera Liga: Almeria vs Real Madrid preview

Spanish giants Real Madrid can extend their record winning streak to 20 games if they defeat Almeria on Friday night at Estadio de los Juegos Mediterraneos. Cristiano Ronaldo and company have beaten Bulgarian champions Ludogorets 4-0 this week to complete their Champions League group stage campaign with six wins out of six. After Friday's match Real Madrid will travel to Morocco for the Club World Cup where they will face Mexico's Cruz Azul or Australia's Sydney Wanderers in the semi final.

Real Madrid have scored two or more goals in each of their last eleven league games, with an average of four goals scored per game. Against Almeria they have scored 17 and conceded just one in their last three games (4-0, 5-0 and 8-1).

Almeria have grabbed just 10 points so far this season but they are just outside the relegation zone on goal difference. They have not won any of their last eight Primera Liga matches, losing six of them. Moreover, Almeria have not managed to win any of their home games this season.

Probable starting line-ups:

Almeria: Ruben - Navarro, Velez, Trujillo, Mane - Wellington Silva, Partey, Corona, Zongo - Bifouma, Hemed

Real Madrid: Casillas - Carvajal, Ramos, Pepe, Marcelo - Illarramendi, Kroos, Rodriguez - Bale, Benzema, Ronaldo

My prediction: Real Madrid to win 5-1.

Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

Almeria win - 14/1 Draw - 13/2 Real Madrid win - 2/11
