Manchester United Dutch midfielder Daley Blind will have a knee scan after suffering a suspected medial ligament injury while playing for his national team. The 24-year-old versatile midfielder limped off after just 20 minutes during the Netherlands' 6-0 victory over Latvia.
He has played eight times for United since moving from Ajax this summer for 13.8 million pounds. Netherlands head coach Guus Hiddink said: "I'm rather negative. I think it's a medial ligament that is twisted. It might be a rupture."
Blind said on Instagram: "I'm proud of my 25 games for the Dutch national team, but I'm so gutted with my injury... I'll stay positive and will come back stronger! Nevertheless a great win, 6-0!" His injury adds to the list of another two United players that are sidelined after the international break: Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea dislocated a finger during a training session while Michael Carrick pulled out of the England squad due to a groin injury.
Manchester United face Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday and they are 11/5 at Bet365 to clinch a win at the Emirates Stadium.

Daley Blind's position on the field is very keen and almost two months later he is still not recovered from hes injury and missing a lot in the Manchester Uniteds midfield. Hope he will be back as soon as possible because he have shown how influential he can be.

they really have no lucky this season. I believe that they have good squad but in transfer window they made several mistakes such as giving Vidic and Ferdinand free transfer. They should keep them and with this additions I think that today we wouldn't see such a bad picture at United

With all respect for blind I thikn that he doesn't have quality to be in manchester united and if their coach isn't van gaal he will never come to manchester. (connections are very clear) so I think that for manchester is best to get used to play without blind and find some other solution for this position or buy some other...

Fellaini should start on his position now, unless Van Gaal don't put Carrick or Fletcher on Blind's position. I hope that Fellaini is going to prove to coach that he is first team material, so he can stay in squad as starter. Yes, he is crazy and it will be fun to watch him this weekend against Arsenal.

My opinion is that Blind is no so good player but form Manchester is not bad.I think that without him MUFC can not lose so much.Now is chance for crazy Fellaini to start play good and gain the trust of coach.

I am big fan Manchester United, and I also think that they need healthy Falcao and Van Persie in form, because they are really struggle to score, but defense is very big problem for them and Blind is doing very good job for now. I am afraid that it will only get worse without Blind in a team.

Bad news for Manchester utd. but I think that they will be just fine without Blind. If you look better Blind wasn't so good and in this situation it will be worse for manchester to lose striker becouse they are struggle to score and their defend is good. I think that this players is not unreplacable and peaople from United...

This is such a big loss for Manchester United. He is playing very well for now and he is one of the best players at the club, along with De Gea. I hope that Fellaini is going to replace him well, because i can't see better replacement for Blind then Fellaini.
