Sportech to Appeal Tax Issue

Sportech plc plans to file an Application for Permission to Appeal and Notice of Appeal related to its case involving VAT repayment on the "Spot the Ball" game. The company will have until 2nd December 2014 to submit it filing to the Court of Appeals after losing in the last session in the Upper Tribunal (Tax and Chancery Chamber) who would not accept the application for permission. After refusing permission, the judge, who ruled against Sportech in September, said that the Court of Appeal should determine whether or not to hear the appeal.
