Back UEFA Champions League: CSKA Moscow vs Manchester City preview

It's do or die for both teams as Manchester City travel to Russia to face CSKA Moscow on Tuesday night. The Citizens have grabbed just one point out of the first two group matches while CSKA Moscow have lost both matches. A win for either side would put them back in contention for one of the two top spots, while defeat could leave them out of the qualification battle.

Manuel Pellegrini will most likely have to do without Frank Lampard because of a thigh injury, but Yaya Toure should be back in the starting lineup after being rested for the 4-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday. Pablo Zabaleta should start at right back instead of Bacary Sagna while the attacking duo of Dzeko and Aguero should remain unchanged.

The home side will be without playmaker Alan Dzagoev and central defender Pontus Wernbloom, both suspended. The two teams have met at the same stage in the Champions League last season and City won both matches, with Sergio Aguero bagging two goals in Moscow. CSKA have played at home against English opponents five times and managed to win two of those matches, against Aston Villa and Arsenal.

Probable starting line-ups:

CSKA: Akinfeev - Schennikov, Ignashevich, Berezutski, Fernandes - Natcho, Eremenko, Milanov, Tosic, Musa - Doumbia

Man City: Hart - Zabaleta, Kompany, Mangala, Clichy - Silva, Fernando, Toure, Milner - Aguero, Dzeko

My prediction: Manchester City to win 2-1.

Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

CSKA Moscow win - 11/2 Draw - 16/5 Manchester City win - 4/7
