Grenades in Kuala Lumpur Target Ah Hai
This weekend, the Malay Mail reported the detonation of two grenades likley triggered by rival Malaysian online gambling syndicates. One man was killed as the explosion left 13 others injured outside of the Cherry Blossom pub in Jalan Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur. A source said that 53-year-old Ah Hai was actually the target for recruiting bookies from other online gambling syndicates to boost his own “gambling empire”. "Ah Hai was meant to be killed instantly as he was 'pinching' almost everyone who were working for the top bookies," according to the Malay Mail's source. Police believe that the motive was related to business rivalry and have ruled out terrorism.
