Liverpool and Everton have recorded unconvincing results lately, so both sides will be determined to redeem themselves with a good performance in the first Merseyside Derby of the season on Saturday. The Reds are coming from back to back defeats in the Premier League and they needed an epic penalty shoot-out this week to overcome Championship side Middlesbrough in the Capital One Cup. Liverpool are currently 11th in the Premier League table, with three defeats from their last four games.
Philippe Coutinho and Jordan Henderson did not feature in the League Cup due to injuries but they might be fit for Saturday's derby. Glen Johnson, Joe Allen, Emre Can and Daniel Sturridge have also been struggling with injuries but might be able to recover in time, while Jon Flanagan is out after undergoing knee surgery. The Toffees have recorded just one Premier League win this season and have also been knocked out of the League Cup by Swansea.
Everton got beaten by Crystal Palace last weekend but the good news was that Brian Oviedo made his return on the pitch after a horrendous injury last January, a double leg break. Seamus Coleman is in doubt for this match. Liverpool have recorded two wins and three draws from their last five meetings with Everton. Last season the Reds have beaten the Toffees 4-0 at Anfield.
Probable starting line-ups:
Liverpool: Mignolet - Manquillo, Moreno, Lovren, Skrtel - Gerrard, Suso, Lucas, Sterling - Borini, Balotelli
Everton: Howard - Baines, Stones, Gibson, Jagielka - McCarthy, Barry, Mirallas, Osman - Lukaku, Atsu
My prediction: 1-1 draw.
Here are the odds for the Merseyside Derby at Bet365:
Liverpool win - 10/11 Draw - 11/4 Everton win - 10/3

I didnt enjoy the game...until Jagielka came :D What a shot my god. His best moments for sure, he scores for the rival, last minute to earn a point. But the first 91 minutes was just not what i expected. Pool is so bad without the Suarez, Sturridge duo, and Coutinho on the bench? Rodgers, man, are you okay? Also Everton`s...

Also Everton`s coach was strange, he substitute a rookie defender when 1 goal down, and leaving on the bench Eto`o, who got only ten minutes... They should feel lucky to earn a point.

Today is great day for all lovers of football, this was really good match, Liverpool deserved victory, but Jagielka was thinking different, what an amazing goal, very good match, big derby, big battle on the middle of field, strikers were not so good, so we saw only 2 goals, but we have seen some nice actions, goalkeepers...
