Chelsea have announced the signing of Queens Park Rangers forward Loic Remy on a four-year contract. The striker had a £10.5m release clause in his QPR contract and Chelsea met that clause with their offer.
"I feel very happy and very proud," said Remy, aged 27. "When I heard Chelsea wanted to sign me I said 'let's go'." Arsenal have also been interested in the French striker but Chelsea made the decisive move after letting Fernando Torres move to AC Milan on loan. "They are one of the best clubs in the world," Remy added. "I remember the amazing atmosphere at Stamford Bridge when I played there for Marseille and I can't wait to play for the first time in front of my new fans."
Remy has also been close to a move to Liverpool earlier in the summer summer, the Reds also met his release clause but the transfer fell through after reports of a failed medical. Remy played for Newcastle in the Premier League last season and scored 14 goals in 26 top-flight appearances.
After the flying start to the Premier League season with three wins out of three matches Chelsea are the favourites to win the title, 4/5 at Bet365.

wow... this transfer suprised me becouse I really don't see where is gona play remy... Ghelsea have a planty of strikers and we all know that first place is diego...

Ghelsea have a planty of strikers and we all know that first place is diego costa who have a great scoring start, I think that remy will sit on bench a lot of minuts and he will have his chanse maybe in some less important competiton like capital one cup or something like that
