Illegal World Cup Wagers Continue in China
The 2014 World Cup continues to cause chaos in China as police have arrested 32 people and seized 2.4 million yuan ($386,400) in illegal bets. The bust of another illegal gambling ring has resulted in frozen bank accounts and the seizure of computers and other evidence. Shanghai police say that 42 online gambling rings have been stopped in 2014 thus far totaling 13.2 million yuan seized from 74 bank accounts.
