Back World Cup Quarter Finals: Argentina vs Belgium

Argentina take on Belgium on Saturday evening in Brasilia, with both sides looking to book a place into the last four and then have a shot at the world title. Argentina have relied on the incredible talent of Lionel Messi so far, even though he was not at his best he still managed to clinch a couple of games for his team. The last was the knockout match against Switzerland, won 1-0 by Argentina thanks to a Di Maria goal, created by Messi.

Belgium had a similar track record, they were not very convincing so far considering the quality of their team. Romelu Lukaku was the man who made the difference against the USA in the previous round, creating one goal and scoring another during extra time. There are no major injury concerns for either of the two sides before the clash. Romelu Lukaku, a substitute against the USA, is expected to receive a starting berth.

Probable starting line-ups:

Argentina: Romero - Zabaleta, Rojo, Fernandez, Garay - Mascherano, Lavezzi, Gago - Higuain, Messi, Di Maria

Belgium: Courtois - Alderweireld, Vertonghen, van Buyten, Kompany - Witsel, Mirallas, Fellaini, De Bruyne, Hazard - Lukaku

My prediction: Argentina to win 2-1.

Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

Argentina win - 6/5 Draw - 23/10 Belgium win - 11/4
