Premier League: Manchester United sack manager David Moyes
Manchester United manager David Moyes has been sacked after just 10 months in charge replacing Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford. There were newspaper reports on Monday claiming that Moyes will be fired but the club refused to comment on that information. Moyes, aged 50, was chosen by Ferguson himself as the man to succeed him when he retired after 26 years in charge last summer. Moyes left his job at Everton and signed a six-year contract with the Red Devils. The club issued a statement saying it "would like to place on record its thanks for the hard work, honesty and integrity he brought to the role". United are currently seventh in the Premier League table with four games remaining and regardless on how those four games will unfold they will record their lowest ever points tally in the Premier League. Manchester United have lost six league games at home this season, got beaten in the FA Cup at Old Trafford by Swansea and also lost to Sunderland in the Capital One Cup. You can bet on Moyes' successor as Manchester United manager at SkyBet, here are the odds for the top favourites: Louis Van Gaal - 9/4 Jurgen Klopp - 9/2 Ryan Giggs - 11/2 Diego Simeone - 14/1 Carlos Quieroz - 16/1
