Premier League Transfers: Toni Kroos won't join Manchester United, says agent
Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos will not sign for Manchester United this summer and will stay with his current club "until at least 2015", according to his agent. The German international midfielder has a contract with Bayern until June 2015, but talks over an extension to his deal have stalled due to the player's pay demands. "There's no official contract offer and there's no need for United to submit one," agent Volker Struth said. "Toni's at Bayern until at least 2015." Kroos is one of David Moyes' top transfer targets at Manchester United and he could join the Old Trafford club for free when his contract expires next summer. "It depends on Toni, but we want to continue with him here," said Bayern head coach Pep Guardiola. Bayern already took precautionary measures by signing defensive midfielder Sebastian Rode from Eintracht Frankfurt on a four-year deal. Manchester United are also reportedly keen on signing a new left back, considering that Patrice Evra is 32 years old and probably at the twilight of his career. The main target is Southampton's Luke Shaw but there will be fierce competition for his signature. You can bet on who will sign Luke Shaw this summer, here are the odds at SkyBet: Manchester United - 1/3 Chelsea - 5/2 Liverpool - 12/1 Manchester City - 16/1 Arsenal - 22/1
