Premier League: Manchester City vs Sunderland preview
Title contenders Manchester City will be determined to end their unlikely goal drought when they face Sunderland on Wednesday after failing to score in their last two Premier League matches. The Citizens have scored more goals than any other team this season, 68, but they recorded a goalless draw at Norwich last weekend after a 1-0 defeat at home to Chelsea. It's not entirely a coincidence that striker Sergio Aguero missed both games due to a hamstring injury, the Argentinian star has 15 goals in 17 Premier League appearances this season. Aguero will not play against Sunderland either while Fernandinho and Samir Nasri also remain sidelined. Manchester City have only managed to beat Sunderland once in their last five league meetings, a 3-0 last season at Etihad Stadium. The last two meetings between the two sides were won by Sunderland by the same scoreline: 1-0. The Black Cats have suffered a 2-0 defeat by Hull City last weekend and they will be without centre-back Wes Brown, suspended for two matches after a red card against Hull. The home defeat against Hull ended a run of seven matches unbeaten in all competitions but that doesn't make Sunderland any easier to beat, even for Manchester City. The Black Cats remain without goalkeeper Keiren Westwood due to a shoulder injury while striker Steven Fletcher will also miss out. Here are the odds for Wednesday's match at Bet365: Manchester City win - 2/11 Draw - 7/1 Sunderland win - 18/1
