Premier League: Manuel Pellegrini keeps title hopes after Anfield loss
Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini insists his team's Premier League title hopes are not at all over following a 3-2 defeat at Liverpool on Sunday. City are seven points behind Liverpool after that result but Pellegrini's men can reduce that deficit to a single point if they win their two games in hand. "This is not the finish of the Premier League," said Pellegrini, who added that the main damage after the result at Liverpool is that the title is no longer in City's hands as they now depend on the rivals' results. "We have two games in hand and can be just one point behind Liverpool if we win those two games and they still have to play Chelsea. There are a lot of things that will happen from now until the end of the season. We'll try to recover as soon as we can and try to win next Wednesday against Sunderland." City went 2-0 behind on Sunday as Raheem Sterling and Martin Skrtel scored but the Citizens fought back and made it all square through a David Silva effort and a Glen Johnson own goal. But captain Vincent Kompany made a costly mistake which allowed Philippe Coutinho to score Liverpool's winner. "Normally, Vincent is great defender," said Pellegrini. "Today he made a mistake but when we win or lose all the players have the same responsibility." With three teams left in the title race, let's see the current outright Premier League odds at Bet365: Liverpool - 4/5 Manchester City - 11/5 Chelsea - 9/2
