Largest Illegal Gambling Case in China Makes it to Court
Court is in session in the Guangzhou district, in China's Guangdong province, regarding the biggest illegal online gambling bust in the country's history. There were said to be 484 billion yuan ($78.79 billion) in wagers involved in the ring which mainly accepted bets on international football matches using offshore websites. Illegal online casino activity is also said to be part of the ring's business. The court case has 19 defendants and is expected to run over the course of four days.
