Defending champions Manchester United take on this season's title favourites Chelsea in a match that could tell us more about who could win the Premier League crown this season. New Red Devils boss David Moyes is relishing the prospect of facing Jose Mourinho's Chelsea in his first home Premier League match as Manchester United manager. Chelsea are enjoying a good start to the season as they won their first two games. If they beat Manchester United on Monday night they will go six points clear of David Moyes' side.
"There is lots I've been looking forward to: taking the team on tour, leading them at Wembley," Moyes said. "But to do it at Old Trafford for the first game against Chelsea is a thrill, it really is." Moyes enjoyed a solid 4-1 victory over Swansea in his opening game in charge, while Mourinho has started his second spell at Stamford Bridge with home wins over Hull City and Aston Villa. There is also another layer to the rivalry between the two sides as Chelsea are trying to sign Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney.
Mourinho however didn't want to talk about Rooney before the match. "I don't care," he said. "In this moment I don't care. I have a big match to play on Monday. I don't care about new players. In my first time at Chelsea they had Roy Keane, Paul Scholes, players with big history there," he said. "Now they have still players from my time, like Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic, Ryan Giggs, and they have this always mixed with very good young players. With that winning culture, that makes the basis of big clubs. And they are a big club for many, many years. They have everything."
