New COO for SIS

Strategic appointment aims at the continuing development of the business An announcement came this week from the UK live racing and sports video and data provider Satellite Information Services Ltd (SIS) that it has appointed Gary Smith as chief operating officer and as a member of the board effective July 1. Prior to this, Smith worked as president of the Canadian Bell Video Group, and held senior roles at BSkyB in the UK. His new position will see him support chief executive David Holdgate in running the business and take over the day-to-day reporting lines for the two divisional Managing Directors, George Irvine and David Meynell.
