Kingmaker Day Sponsorship Deal for Betfair

Horse racing sponsorship expanded

A report arrived this week that Betfair has closed another horse racing sponsorship, with Warwick Racecourse's The Kingmaker Day.

Yet, this is the first time Betfair is engaged in the sponsorship of the event, which will take place on Feb. 11, 2012.

"We are delighted to welcome Betfair as the new sponsor for Kingmaker Day which is not only one of the highlights of the racecourse's calendar but also of the jump racing season as a whole in Britain,” said Huw Williams, managing director of Warwick Racecourse.

Another comment arrived from Betfair spokesperson Tony Calvin: "We are delighted to have secured the sponsorship of such a prestigious and high profile meeting as Kingmaker Day at Warwick Racecourse on 11 February.

"Given that we are also sponsoring the whole Newbury card as a part of 'Betfair Super Saturday' on 11 February, this association ensures that we are backing all the terrestrial television races on this day."
