Sky to start 3D television broadcasts

European sports fans, and especially football followers, are in for a television treat from April 3rd, when the Sky television network is set to launch Europe's first 3D television channel.

Content will include live coverage of the Premier League football match between Chelsea and Manchester United, with five further Premier League fixtures scheduled by the end of the current season, as well as the Coca-Cola Football League play-off finals.

Over a thousand UK and Irish pubs and clubs have signed up to Sky's new 3D service already.
