Online bookmaker offers sports betting services optimised for Apple's device

Online sports betting Rank plc subsidiary Blue Square.com has launched its iPhone web app, offering live prices that refresh automatically within the page.

In addition, users watching live events covered by the company's ‘Bet-in-Running’ service will have the updated information instantly.

The web app was developed by Bluesquare's mobile technology partner Mkodo and features a pop-up log-in and single bet slip.

Blue Square says its mobile services now represent around 10 percent of its overall sportsbook stakes for the business, compared to 3 percent in early-2009.
