I just found some interesting World Cup odds at Victor Chandler Sportsbook.  Below are the top 10 odds.

They have Spain as the favourites with a low 7/2 - which is 3.5 to 1 so for every $1/£1/€1 you wager you would get 3.5 plus your bet back.

Spain              7/2
Brazil               9/2
England         15/2
Argentina       13/2
Netherlands      9/1
Germany         14/1
Italy                 16/1
France             20/1
Ivory Coast      40/1
Portugal          25/1

Sports Interaction seem to be favouring Brazil and Spain.  The odds you see are what you would get back on a £/$/€1 bet.  These seem to be fairly good oods in comparison to some of the others.

    * Brazil   5.00
    * Spain   5.00
    * Argentina   6.00
    * England   6.50
    * Holland   10.00
    * Germany   12.00
    * Italy   12.00
    * France   15.00
    * Portugal   21.00
    * Ivory Coast   23.00
    * USA   26.00
    * Ghana   41.00
    * Chile   41.00
    * Mexico   51.00
    * Denmark   51.00
    * Cameroon   51.00
    * Serbia   61.00
    * Paraguay   61.00
    * Nigeria   81.00
    * Uruguay   81.00
    * South Africa   91.00
    * Greece   101.00
    * Australia   101.00
    * Switzerland   151.00
    * Slovakia   201.00
    * South Korea   201.00
    * Slovenia   201.00
    * Algeria   201.00
    * Japan   251.00

The Europeans are going to struggle with the heat but I'm intrigued by who you think are the "2 horses".

Tomorrow imarks the start of the much anticipated World Cup and to say that "football fever" is setting in here in the UK is an understatement.  The England flag (cross of St George) is flying from the windows of many cars, being painted on the sides of public bars and being displayed in windows across the country.

At Bwin Sportsbook you can find the latest odds they are offering for outright winner.  Spain and Brazil are still tipped as favourites.  Good luck to ALL participating countries.

Spain   15/4
Brazil   19/4
Argentina   13/2
England   15/2
Holland   17/2
Germany   11/1
Italy   14/1
France   16/1
Portugal   28/1
Ivory Coast   50/1
Serbia   66/1
Chile   66/1
Mexico   80/1
USA   80/1
Ghana   80/1
Paraguay   80/1
Uruguay   125/1
Cameroon    125/1
Nigeria   150/1
South Africa   150/1
Denmark   150/1
Greece   150/1
Australia   150/1
Korea Republic   200/1
Switzerland   200/1
Slovakia   400/1
Slovenia   400/1
Japan   400/1
Algeria   500/1
Honduras   999/1
New Zealand   1499/1
Korea DPR   1499/1

not just the heat but the altitude aswell

think it'll be between argentina and brazil, i'd say argentina have the best squad out of any of the teams but maradonna seems to be a weakness

The opening ceremony was just on and the first teams are on the pitch.  The FIFA president opens the World Cup 2010 to the sound of thousands of horns which sound like a swarm of bees!

The stadium is almost packed to the rafters and it should be an exciting game.

The World Cup has officially started!
