Just another typical Friday night of having a few drinks and relaxing after a long week of work.

With the College Basketball conference tourneys in full swing i felt like getting in on a little action. There where quite a few games to choose from so i went to Intertops Sportsbook to check out the betting odds and decided to make a small wager of $15.

I bet what is called a parlay, that's when you pick more then 1 team to cover or beat the spread on a single bet. You must win on both of the games or you lose your bet.

After 4 hours and 2 games of screaming and yelling at my TV, sweating out that 2ND game to cover the spread because the 1st game of my wager won very easy so it was up to Notre Dame to bring home the winnings.

Even though ND lost the game by just 2 points they did cover the spread as they were a 5 point underdog so my Friday night ended up being a pretty good one and made me a few Money$.

Good Luck Exclamation!

Tony

You can't win em all.

I got a free $20 today from Playersonly and decided to give it a whirl.

It is March Madness time and i have been spending the last 2 days in my local bar betting with my bookie and having a blast. But i got some free money to play with and decided to try and get greedy.

I just made a small $10 parlay bet today and as in most cases the need for greed usually doesn't pay off like it did to me today. If i would have just been smart and played a straight wager on each of the games i liked i would have broke even but it was free so why not go for the gold.

The moral of this gambling day is why be safe when its free, not to many times we get to play with the house money so might as well and try to take advantage of it.

I do have to say it was a gooooood day at the track!!

Yesterday started out with a nice breakfast with my ole man at Bob Evans and looking at the Daily Racing form. We finish up our breakfast and head out for a 45 minutes drive to a place called the Thirsty Pony.

What a perfect name for a sportsbar/off track betting parlor. We get to the Thirsty Pony and we both pull out a $100 and put it together and get a $200 betting voucher and agree we are partners, no matter what happens and who picks any winners we are gonna split the profit 50/50.

A few hours pass and we are going up and down with our $200 but having a great time of yelling at the jockeys and horses.

Our bankroll is down to about $110 when we decide to play a Superfecta, that is when you try to pick the first 4 horses to finish. He likes 3 of the horses and i throw in the 4th, the total coast of our ticket is $24.

As the race is going off 2 of our horses are up on the lead with the others close behind, as the horses turn for the stretch run we both jump out of our seat and start to yell like there's no tomorrow.

As soon as they cross the finish line we were a bit worried, the 1st 3 finishers we knew we had but for the 4th place finisher we weren't quite sure if we had it or not, they had to go to a photo to determine who finished 4th.

When we saw the judges put up our horse for 4th we jumped up like we just won the superbowl. When the results were finally flashed up on the toteboard and saw we just hit for over $2,000 it was like being at Disney World.

We stayed and played a little more and did give back a few hundred of our winnings but left with over $1600 in profit and a VERY fun and enjoyable day. Even though it was a great day at the track i will take a bad day at the track over a good day at work anytime of the year.

I wish everyone a very lucky Sunday.

Tony

Now this was a very interesting trip to the racetrack/casino.

So my ole man suprises me with a little trip only about 80 miles from here to a very nice place called Mountaineer Racetrack and casino. We get there and i am in awe of how this place looks now after the remodeling and upgrading to a full service casino and well as the racetrack.

So we park and go into the hotel lobby and here's where the interesting part starts to happen. A very good friend of mine wants me to take some pictures of the place so as i am standing in the lobby i pull out my cell phone and start to snap away, then out of nowhere comes a security guard with a look on his face that could stop a jet airplane in midair.

He grabs my arm and says to put that phone away of i will be arrested on the spot, i thought for a moment i was in an airport with a loaded gun or something, it is a very strict policy there that no cellphones or cameras are permitted anywhere on the property other then the designated areas.

So after i have 3 security guards give me the talk and things cool down i being the smarta** that i am hand my phone to my ole man and ask the 3 security guards if i can get a picture with all of them for my scrapbook and these people do NOT have the sense of humor i do and was not amused. So this all happened before we even get into the hotel.

Now it's time to bet some ponies and then play some cards. After doing good betting the 10 races it was off the play a little 3 card poker where my luck went downhill, after all was said and done i ended up losing over $700 for our little trip but will have a story that will last a lifetime.

Here's to wishing you luck on this Easter Sunday and remember to use those cellphone cameras wisely.

ROFLMAOOOOOOOO!!! Omg ton.......only you could get into that kind of trouble. To top it off you ask to take a pic with them!!

You are quite the card. Sorry to hear you didn't have any luck. We can't win them all. Hell we are lucky to win a handful. I am going to the track tomorrow night and will let ya know how i do!!
