The Bruins remain three points ahead of the second-place Canadiens in the Northeast Division while Detroit increased its lead in the Central Division to seven points over the Nashville Predators. Eastern Conference leaders Philadelphia Flyers found no way past Los Angeles goalkeeper Jonathan Quick and the Kings snatched a 1-0 victory at the Wells Fargo Center. Goalie Jonathan Quick watched back-up Jonathan Bernier shut down the Washington Capitals on Saturday, and then went out and did him one better: he turned aside all 40 shots the Philadelphia Flyers threw at him and Drew Doughty scored the game's only goal in a 1-0 victory, the Kings' second straight and third in their last four games. It was Quick's sixth shutout of the season, one less than the career-best seven he had last season. The Flyers remain top of the Eastern Conference while the Kings are 9th in the Western, still in contention for a playoff spot. NHL leaders Vancouver Canucks suffered a defeat yesterday at the hands of the St Louis Blues. The game was in the balance until Vancouver goalie Roberto Luongo made a mistake that allowed the Blues to take the lead. Alex Steen scored when Luongo didn't get all of the puck and wound up slipping it right to Steen, who said thanks and made it 2-1 at 12:17 of the first. Roberto Luongo: " The puck was coming towards me and I thought I had enough time to shove it over there. Obviously, it was a bad decision. He anticipated it and made me look pretty bad." St. Louis won for the third time in the last 10 games. Vancouver lost for the second time in nine games but the Canucks remain top of the Western Conference while the Blues are down in 13th place. The Toronto Maple Leafs stunned the Boston Bruins last night and managed to grab a surprise 4-3 win. Mikhail Grabovski scored the tiebreaking goal with 1:01 remaining after the Bruins had been leading 1-0 and 3-2. Grabovski and former Bruin Phil Kessel both scored two goals for Toronto, which fell behind 3-2 on Patrice Bergeron's 20th goal of the season with 10:52 to play. But Kessel's second goal of the game tied it with 6:33 left, and Grabovski's game-winner extended Boston's losing streak to three straight games. The Bruins are third in the Eastern Conference while the Maple Leafs are 13th, eight points away from a playoff place. Defending champions Chicago Blackhawks grabbed a crucial home win against the Minnesota Wild, the two points were absolutely essential for Chicago's playoff hopes. Rookie goalie Corey Crawford had a particularly good games as he kept the Wild off the scoreboard and paved the way for Brian Campbell's power-play goal at 12:59 of the first. Crawford finished with 33 saves while a clutch power-play goal by Troy Brouwer at 7:33 of the third was the game-winner, coming just 34 seconds after Minnesota’s Matt Cullen tied it 1-1. Minnesota are 10th in the Western Conference, just one point above 11th placed Chicago. The Tampa Bay Lightning failed yet again to beat the Detroit Red Wings, a team that has defeated them five times in a row. The Lightning's last win against Detroit was on January 7 , 2003! This time Pavel Datsyuk scored twice as the Detroit Red Wings cruised to a 6-2 victory while Niklas Kronwall, Justin Abdelkader and Darren Helm also scored for the Red Wings, who have won three in a row and seven of 11. The Lightning remain second in the Eastern Conference while the Red Wings are just behind Western Conference leaders Vancouver Canucks. The Columbus Blue Jackets boosted their playoff hopes with a stunning victory at defending Stanley Cup winners Chicago Blackhawks. The Hawks were hoping to start a playoff push with a victory against the Blue Jackets but the visitors scored three goals in the second period and made a one-goal lead stand up in the third for a 4-3 win that pulled Columbus even with the Blackhawks in points with 64. Four teams in the Western Conference have 68 points - with Calgary alone in ninth, one spot out of the playoff picture. The Hawks and Jackets have identical 29-23-6 records and share 11th place. Daniel Sedin scored twice and added an assist while Raffi Torres ended a 23-game goal drought with a pair of goals to lead the Canucks to a 5-2 win over the Dallas Stars on Saturday night. Defending champions Chicago Blackhawks are still not giving up hopes of getting a playoff place as they battled hard to overcome the Pittsburgh Penguins last night. They were leading 2-1 with 3 minutes and 18 seconds left in regulation but Brett Sterling's third goal of the season made it all square and sent the game into overtime. Neither team could score in the overtime and that led to the shootout, where Hawks star Patrick Kane scored the lone goal and Chicago rookie goalie Corey Crawford stopped all three Pittsburgh attempts. Pittsburgh is fourth in the Eastern Conference and their presence in the playoffs is almost guaranteed while Chicago is 11th in the West, two points away from the top 8. Washington Capitals at Buffalo Sabres 2-1 Philadelphia Flyers at New York Rangers 4-2 Pittsburgh Penguins at Chicago Blackhawks 2-3 (shootout) Detroit Red Wings at Minnesota Wild 2-1 (shootout) Montreal Canadiens at Calgary Flames 0-4 Chicago will be facing a tough road game tonight in Saint Louis, here are the odds from BetED: Money Line Point Spread Over/ Under Florida Panthers at New York IslandersFlorida Panthers -105 +1.5 ( -300) O5.5 ( -110) New York Islanders -115 -1.5 ( +245) U5.5 ( -110) Chicago Blackhawks at St. Louis BluesChicago Blackhawks -105 +1.5 ( -300) O5.5 ( -120) St. Louis Blues -115 -1.5 ( +245) U5.5 ( +100) Washington Capitals at Pittsburgh PenguinsWashington Capitals -130 -1.5 ( +230) O5.5 ( +110) Pittsburgh Penguins +110 +1.5 ( -280) U5.5 ( -130) Good luck!

The Chicago Blackhawks earned a great comeback victory after being led 2-0 by the Saint Louis Blues. Captain Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane keyed a four-goal second period with a goal and assist apiece while rookie goalie Corey Crawford also had a very good game. The Blues seem to be almost out of the playoff race in the Western Conference, they are down in 13th place on 63 points. The Blackhawks are at the heart of a tremendous playoff battle, they are in 11th place but they are tied on 68 points with no less than four other teams! The Montreal Canadiens boosted their playoff chances with a historic win in Vancouver, their first in over a decade. The Canadiens took a two-goal lead early in the first period as David Desharnais and Brian Gionta scored 67 seconds apart, Henrik Sedin pulled one back for the Canucks in the second period but Andrei Kostitsyn ended a 12-game goal drought and restored Montreal's two-goal lead. Tyler Myers had a goal and assist, and Ryan Miller made 40 saves to lift the Sabres to a 4-1 win against the Atlanta Thrashers at HSBC Arena on Wednesday night in front of new Sabres owner Terry Pegula. It was an important game for both sides as they are trying to clinch a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference but Atlanta seem to be losing speed after the fourth consecutive defeat. The Sabres are just three points behind 8th placed Carolina so they still have a chance of a late playoff push. Florida Panthers at Ottawa Senators 1-5 Atlanta Thrashers at Buffalo Sabres 1-4 San Jose Sharks at Pittsburgh Penguins 3-2 (overtime) Edmonton Oilers at Colorado Avalanche 5-1 Los Angeles Kings at Anaheim Ducks 3-2 Here is today's NHL offer from BetED: Money Line Point Spread Over/ Under New York Islanders at Philadelphia FlyersNew York Islanders +210 +1.5 ( -135) O5.5 ( -125) Philadelphia Flyers -250 -1.5 ( +115) U5.5 ( +105) Toronto Maple Leafs at Montreal CanadiensToronto Maple Leafs +130 +1.5 ( -250) O5.5 ( +115) Montreal Canadiens -150 -1.5 ( +210) U5.5 ( -135) Dallas Stars at Detroit Red WingsDallas Stars +190 +1.5 ( -150) O5.5 ( -105) Detroit Red Wings -230 -1.5 ( +130) U5.5 ( -115) Chicago Blackhawks at Nashville PredatorsChicago Blackhawks -105 +1.5 ( -290) O5.5 ( +115) Nashville Predators -115 -1.5 ( +245) U5.5 ( -135) Minnesota Wild at Los Angeles KingsMinnesota Wild +145 +1.5 ( -220) O5 ( -130) Los Angeles Kings -165 -1.5 ( +180) U5 ( +110) Good luck!

The Chicago Blackhawks grabbed their third consecutive win yesterday at Nashville and that finally pushed them into a playoff spot, 7th in the Western Conference. Tomas Kopecky and Marian Hossa scored and goaltender Corey Crawford stopped 31 shots as the Chicago Blackhawks beat the Nashville Predators 3-0 with Patrick Sharp adding an empty netter around 30 seconds before the end of the game. The Predators and the Blackhawks are now tied on 70 points along with four other teams in the Western Conference: Minnesota, Los Angeles, Dallas and Calgary. New York Islanders at Philadelphia Flyers 3-4 (overtime) Toronto Maple Leafs at Montreal Canadiens 5-4 Dallas Stars at Detroit Red Wings 4-1 Chicago Blackhawks at Nashville Predators 3-0 Minnesota Wild at Los Angeles Kings 2-4 Here is today's NHL schedule and odds from BetED: Money Line Point Spread Over/ Under Phoenix Coyotes at Columbus Blue JacketsPhoenix Coyotes +100 +1.5 ( -290) O5 ( -145) Columbus Blue Jackets -120 -1.5 ( +235) U5 ( +125) Pittsburgh Penguins at Carolina HurricanesPittsburgh Penguins +140 +1.5 ( -230) O5 ( -145) Carolina Hurricanes -160 -1.5 ( +190) U5 ( +125) New Jersey Devils at Tampa Bay LightningNew Jersey Devils +115 +1.5 ( -270) O5.5 ( +110) Tampa Bay Lightning -135 -1.5 ( +220) U5.5 ( -130) Ottawa Senators at Buffalo SabresOttawa Senators +175 +1.5 ( -165) O5.5 ( +105) Buffalo Sabres -210 -1.5 ( +145) U5.5 ( -125) Florida Panthers at Atlanta ThrashersFlorida Panthers +120 +1.5 ( -260) O5.5 ( -105) Atlanta Thrashers -140 -1.5 ( +215) U5.5 ( -115) San Jose Sharks at Calgary FlamesSan Jose Sharks -120 -1.5 ( +235) O5 ( -145) Calgary Flames +100 +1.5 ( -290) U5 ( +125) Minnesota Wild at Anaheim DucksMinnesota Wild +110 +1.5 ( -280) O5.5 ( +100) Anaheim Ducks -130 -1.5 ( +230) U5.5 ( -120) Good luck!

The New Jersey Devils were boasting an eight-game winning streak before coming to Tampa Bay yesterday and that run came to an end as the Lightning won 1-0. Tampa Bay is not a good place to bring a winning streak as two nights earlier the Bolts thrashed Phoenix 8-3, ending the Coyotes' eight-game streak. Martin St. Louis and Simon Gagne scored early in the second period for Tampa Bay and that was enough to secure the win. The Lightning are second in the Eastern Conference while the Devils are down in 13th place with their playoff hopes being severely reduced. Phoenix Coyotes at Columbus Blue Jackets 3-5 Pittsburgh Penguins at Carolina Hurricanes 1-4 New Jersey Devils at Tampa Bay Lightning 1-2 Ottawa Senators at Buffalo Sabres 2-4 Florida Panthers at Atlanta Thrashers 2-1 (shootout) San Jose Sharks at Calgary Flames 4-3 (shootout) Minnesota Wild at Anaheim Ducks 3-2 (overtime) Let's have a look at today's NHL offer from BetED: Money Line Point Spread Over/ Under Nashville Predators at Dallas StarsNashville Predators +105 +1.5 ( -280) O5 ( -135) Dallas Stars -125 -1.5 ( +230) U5 ( +115) Colorado Avalanche at Los Angeles KingsColorado Avalanche +190 +1.5 ( -150) O5.5 ( -110) Los Angeles Kings -230 -1.5 ( +130) U5.5 ( -110) Detroit Red Wings at Buffalo SabresDetroit Red Wings -120 -1.5 ( +230) O5.5 ( -125) Buffalo Sabres +100 +1.5 ( -280) U5.5 ( +105) Washington Capitals at New York IslandersWashington Capitals -155 -1.5 ( +200) O5.5 ( -115) New York Islanders +135 +1.5 ( -240) U5.5 ( -105) Carolina Hurricanes at Montreal CanadiensCarolina Hurricanes +130 +1.5 ( -250) O5.5 ( +110) Montreal Canadiens -150 -1.5 ( +210) U5.5 ( -130) Philadelphia Flyers at Ottawa SenatorsPhiladelphia Flyers -190 -1.5 ( +155) O5.5 ( -110) Ottawa Senators +160 +1.5 ( -180) U5.5 ( -110) Pittsburgh Penguins at Toronto Maple LeafsPittsburgh Penguins +145 +1.5 ( -220) O5.5 ( +120) Toronto Maple Leafs -165 -1.5 ( +180) U5.5 ( -140) Boston Bruins at Vancouver CanucksBoston Bruins +125 +1.5 ( -260) O5.5 ( -105) Vancouver Canucks -145 -1.5 ( +215) U5.5 ( -115) Good luck!
