Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final was a great duel between the best goalkeepers in the league, Tim Thomas and Roberto Luongo kept the game scoreless until 19 seconds from time when Raffi Torres netted the winning goals for the Canucks. Roberto Luongo continued his impressive performances in goal for the home side as he has stopped 92 of 94 shots going back to Game 5 against San Jose!

Alexandre Burrows was the hero last night as he scored 11 seconds into overtime after collecting a goal and an assist in regulation to give the Vancouver Canucks a 3-2 victory and a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven Stanley Cup Final. He scored the first goal of the game midway through the first period, then assisted Daniel Sedin on the third period goal that sent the game into overtime and then he finished the job in style.

Boston Bruins v Vancouver Canucks 2-3 (overtime)

The Canucks lead the series 2-0 but Game 3 will be played Monday night at TD Garden in Boston. Stay tuned for the odds.

The Vancouver Canucks were back on home-ice last night and they fully took advantage of it as they clinched a 1-0 victory against the Boston Bruins in game 5 and now lead the Stanley Cup final series 3-2. Maxim Lapierre scored early in the third period and the highly criticized goalie Roberto Luongo did the rest. He capped his second 1-0 shutout of the Stanley Cup Final with 31 saves in Game 5, two nights after getting pulled by coach Alain Vigneault for a second straight terrible game in Boston.

Boston Bruins v Vancouver Canucks 0-1

Game 6 will be played on Monday in Boston and the Canucks will lift the Stanley Cup if they win that one.

The Boston Bruins have won the Stanley Cup! And they celebrated it on Vancouver's home-ice, that surely made it even more pleasing! Boston Goalie Tim Thomas foiled the Vancouver Canucks once again to win the Conn Smythe Trophy while second-liners Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron did the damage in attack to bring the Stanley Cup back to Boston for the first time in 39 years!

Boston Bruins v Vancouver Canucks 4-0

Congratulations to the Bruins, looking forward to next season!
