The St Louis Cardinals have won the World Series! Chris Carpenter pitched on short rest to help dispatch Texas in Game 7, and David Freese earned Fall Classic MVP honors. The Cardinals beat the Texas Rangers 6-2 in game seven and clinched the 11th World Series title in franchise history!
