Authorities say they believe as many as 30 owners, drivers, trainers and gamblers conspired to fix the outcome of certain harness horse races run at three Michigan tracks.

The Michigan State Police and the Michigan Gaming Control Board executed search warrants Thursday at three southeast Michigan homes as part of an ongoing investigation into fraudulent wagering at the tracks.

Police say the case involves races at Hazel Park Harness Raceway, Northville Downs and Sports Creek Raceway in Swartz Creek. The tracks themselves aren’t under investigation and have been cooperating with investigators.

The race-fixing case could lead to felony charges. Members of the Ontario Racing Commission are also working on the investigation.

That doesn't surprise me tonster. Especially harness racing. That has never been my favorite racing. Seems way to easy to box the horses in.

I give me the Thoroughbreds any day of the week. Although i am sure there has been some conspiracy there as well.

I am also not a big fan of Harness racing lips but i have bet on them many times.

It does not suprise me that there is "fixed" races going on in Harness racing. here in Ohio it has happened a few times with the drivers involved having there racing licence suspended and not being able to race in Ohio anymore and one driver even had to do some jail time.

Give me the Thoroughbreds anyday of the week as well.
