The Miami Heat have extended their winning streak to six games after beating the Orlando Magic quite clearly, 90 to 78. The Heat were led by guard Dwyane Wade's 27 points while forward LeBron James contributed 25 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists. The Heat held a double-digit lead for most of the second half, with the outcome never in doubt. The Magic were led by guard J.J. Redick's 17 points while center Dwight Howard finished with 12 points and a game-high 15 rebounds but Orlando lost a fourth game in a row. The Heat are now top of the Eastern Conference while Orlando moved down in 4th position.

The San Antonio Spurs have just added an 11th consecutive win to their streak, 106 to 102 at the Utah Jazz. Richard Jefferson hit two key shots in the fourth quarter to clinch it for the Spurs, their 11-game win streak is the longest in the NBA this season. Tony Parker continued his phenomenal season with 23 points and 11 assists as the Spurs rallied from an 11-point deficit. Tim Duncan and Matt Bonner each chipped in 20 points. The Spurs are second in the Western Conference while the Jazz are down in 11th place after losing two consecutive games.

San Antonios 11-game winning streak came to an abrupt end as the Spurs were demolished by the Portland Trail Blazers 137 to 97. LaMarcus Aldridge led seven Blazers in double figures with 21 points, with Jamal Crawford (20), Nicolas Batum and Gerald Wallace (19 apiece) and rookie Elliot Williams close behind. San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich chose to rest stars Tony Parker and Tim Duncan as the Spurs were playing the eighth game of a nine-game road trip. Rookie forward Kawhi Leonard collected 24 points, 10 rebounds and five steals. This was San Antonio's most one-sided defeat since a 111-69 loss at Chicago in March 1997. The Blazers are ninth in the Western Conference while the Spurs remain second.

The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated defending champions Boston Celtics 119 to 104 to record their fourth consecutive win. The Oklahoma City Thunder used a great first half (72 points) and big games from All-Stars Russell Westbrook (31 points) and Kevin Durant (28 points) to breeze past the Boston Celtics. The Celtics had all five starters in double figures led by 23 points from Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett. Ray Allen dropped in 21 and Mickael Pietrus added 16. The unstoppable Miami Heat made another victim and extended their winning streak to eight games after defeating the New York Knicks 102 to 88. Heat forward Chris Bosh led four players in double-figures with 25 points and eight rebounds, Dwyane Wade had 22 while LeBron James added 20 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. The Knicks were led by Carmelo Anthony's 19 points but he shot just 7 of 20 from the field. The Miami Heat are leading the Eastern Conference while the Knicks are down in 7th position.

As expected, the All-Star Game was a spectacular affair with the Western team winning by only three points. Kobe Bryant scored 27 points, moving past Michael Jordan as the career scoring leader in the game and Kevin Durant had 36 in an MVP performance for the West. LeBron James led the East with 36 points while fellow Heat star Dwyane Wade finished with a triple-double.

The Chicago Bulls snatched a third consecutive win, 99 to 95 against the New Orleans Hornets, but it wasn't easy. The Bulls led by 10 points in the first quarter but trailed at halftime, then led by 11 points in the fourth quarter but trailed by four points with 1:26 remaining. The Bulls scored the game's last eight points as the Hornets missed their last three shots and had two turnovers in the final 90 seconds. Derrick Rose led the Bulls with 32 points, while Chris Kaman had 17 points for the Hornets. The Bulls are second in the Eastern Conference while the Hornets are last in the West.

The Chicago Bulls are now leading the Eastern Conference after snatching a fifth consecutive win, 112 to 91 at the Cleveland Cavaliers. Small forward Luol Deng scored a game-high 24 points and point guard Derrick Rose added 19 points and nine assists for the Bulls. Power forward Carlos Boozer added 13 points and 11 rebounds. Power forward Antawn Jamison led the Cavaliers with 22 points, while point guard Ramon Sessions had 16 points and seven assists.
