The New York Yankees won the opening game of the series by beating Texas 6-5 but then Texas leveled the series with a convincing 7-2 victory over the Yankees last night. In the other series San Francisco opened things up with a 4-3 win over Philadelphia.

Texas are storming past New York, they won game three and four quite convincingly: 8-0 and 10-3! Now Texas are leading the series 3-1 and need only one more win to advance to the World Series.

In the National League San Francisco won game three 3-0 over Philadelphia and lead the series 2-1.

Well, Texas were unable to get another vital win, the New York Yankees beat them 7-2 and now Texas are leading the series 3-2!

In the other game, a very tense one, San Francisco beat Philadelphia 6-5 and are now leading the series 3-1.

Philadelphia will be playing at San Francisco tonight in a desperate attempt to remain in the series while Texas will welcome New York on Friday hoping to get the decisive win in game six. Here are the odds from Intertops:

The result was quite surprising, I expected Texas to wrap up the series last night.
