Greyhound Cruelty

Hi Members,

Greyhound racing may seem like a harmless sport--but behind the scenes--it's not so harmless. Each year tens of thousands of greyhounds are bred, only to have the majority destroyed because they lack racing potential, are injured while racing or are no longer able to race. A racing greyhound's career is usually over by age 3 or 4--at which time these lovable dogs could sure use a loving home and a second chance. Unfortunately--many don't get one.

I remember a story a few years back about a greyhound. He could no longer win any races and the owner tied him to a tree and burned him alive because he said he was of no use  .

It is a cruel sport and these dogs are terribly mistreated. I could put up lots of pics of animals that are skin and bones and abused......but if i don't have the heart to look at it how can i ask you to.

Please sign this petition it will only take a moment of your time and save the most loyal living thing on earth.......a dog.

Yes I've heard of it and there is something over here whereby people can adopt these loving, loyal dogs after their racing time is over.

There was a huge news thing about them a long time ago over here.

I will certainly sign up.
