It's that time of year again when all of Europe find an unknown to sing a new song for their country.

Here are some early odds from William Hill Sportsbook

Norway 4/1
Estonia 6/1
Germany 7/1
Denmark 10/1
Azerbaijan 12/1
Greece 12/1
Bosnia Herzegovina 12/1
Ireland 16/1
United Kingdom 16/1
Finland 20/1
Romania 20/1
Switzerland 22/1
Turkey 25/1
Austria 28/1
Poland 33/1
Georgia 40/1
Serbia 40/1
Moldova 40/1
Slovenia 40/1
Albania 50/1
Iceland 50/1
Belgium 50/1
Hungary 66/1
Malta 66/1
Spain 66/1
Cyprus 66/1
Holland 66/1
Belarus 66/1
Latvia 66/1
France 66/1
Italy 80/1
Lithuania 100/1
Bulgaria 100/1
Macedonia 100/1

Last year's winner was from Germany and therefore, Germany are the host nation this year.  This is the winning song 2010 by Lena.

I see that my Romanians are well-placed at 20/1 Smiley However, they might not make it to the contest after all: all the sponsors have backed down because of a sex-scandal involving one of the singers so they might not be able to pay the 100K euro fee to enter the contest!

Hi neighour i didn't know that there are Romanian players on LCB.About Eurovision i just love to watch it every year, hope Romania will be in the final.(the romanian song is good but is not something special about it ... like other songs performed by other singers from our country).

The show is on tonight.  I think the bookies are worried and according to William Hill, it will be a "Black Day For Bookies If Blue Or Jedward Win!"

One William Hill customer placed a £10,000 bet on Blue whilst another punter in Ireland who has bet on Jedward, could walk away with a 6 figure sum if Jedward win.

Here is the latest betting:

6/4 France
7/2 Ireland
8/1 Azerbaijan
10/1 UK
16/1 Estonia
20/1 Denmark
20/1 Austria
20/1 Germany
22/1 Finland
22/1 Hungary
25/1 Bosnia Herzegovina
25/1 Sweden
40/1 Iceland
50/1 Georgia
66/1 Russia
80/1 Ukraine
80/1 Slovenia
100/1 Serbia
100/1 Switzerland
125/1 Romania
125/1 Greece
125/1 Italy
150/1 Moldova
200/1 Lithuania
200/1 Spain

UK finishing position

11/8 first-fifth, 6/4 sixth-tenth, 4/1 eleventh - fifteenth, 12/1 sixteenth-twentieth, 16/1 twenty first – twenty sixth.  33/1 UK - ‘nul’ points.

Ireland finishing position

11/10 first-fifth, 6/4 sixth-tenth, 5/1 eleventh - fifteenth, 14/1 sixteenth-twentieth, 20/1 twenty first – twenty sixth.

Jedward specials

6/1 Jedward to unintentionally fall during their performance.
33/1 Jedward to split by end of 2011
66/1 Jedward to get ‘nul’ points.
100/1 Jedward to shave their heads before the Eurovision final.

William Hill expect to take £750,000 during the live show and possibly up to £2.5 million on the show itself.

One punter bet €20,0000 in Vienna, that Austria would qualify for the finals....they did and the customer has collected €28,000.

If you get to watch it, I'm sure this year is going to be good with Jedward and the great group Blue.

Good luck to all.

Oh, 125/1 for my Romanians, I guess we stand no chance... The song is nice though.

I have only heard a little bit of Jedward's song but it is very catchy and despite the fact that I don't particularly like them, they are great entertainers.

If the song is great, you never know....Romania could win.  Good luck to them.

It isn't a great song in my view but it's a nice one. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96be3a5Wl8U

I like it - it's got everything it needs to win that's for sure.  It's very catchy.

Thanks Johnny.

Here is the Great Britain entry - its Blue singing but I just don't like the harmonies.

This is Jedwards - ironically called  Lipstick

I've just watched the Irish performance, the song definitely has a great chance of winning the contest. I don't like the British song to be honest.

I totally agree - I thought the harmonies were rubbish.

Azerbaijan won and 8/1 is what they were paying for the win.  I didn't like that song either.
