The defending NBA champions, the Boston Celtics got off to a bad start as they fell at home in overtime to the Chicago Bulls 105-103, in the other NBA playoff games the Cleveland Cavs had no problem with the Detroit Pistons with a 102-84 pounding, the
Dallas Mavericks upset the San Antonio Spurs 105-97 and the Houston Rockets put a beating on the Portland Trailblazers 108-81.
The NHL playoffs got a little interesting as the New York Rangers beat the Washington Capitals 1-0 to take a 2-0 series lead, this would be a huge upset if the Rangers can pull it out as they are the #7 seed in the east and a 4-1 underdog in the series. As the other 3 games go there were no suprises, the Detroit Redwings shut out the Columbus Bluejackets 4-0, the Boston Bruins had and easy time with the Monteal Canadians 5-1, and the Chicago Blackhawks beat the Calgary Flames 3-2.
