There was a major upset in Basel yesterday as world number 1 Novak Djokovic was defeated by Japanese player Kei Nishikori in the Swiss Open semi final! Everything seemed to go as planned for Djokovic as he took the first set but then Nishikori won the second set on a tie-break and then cruised through the third set. 2011 champion Roger Federer will have a good chance to defend his title as he advanced to the final after winning the all-Swiss clash with Stanislas Wawrinka.

RESULTS - SATURDAY, 5 NOVEMBER, 2011

Singles - Semi-finals
[WC] K Nishikori (JPN) d [1] N Djokovic (SRB) 26 76(4) 60
[3] R Federer (SUI) d S Wawrinka (SUI) 76(5) 62

Roger Federer is the big favourite for the final, here are the odds from Intertops:

Kei Nishikori v Roger Federer
 Kei Nishikori   +500
 Roger Federer   -800

Good luck!

Roger Federer was on fire today, he gave Kei Nishikori no chance at all! The Swiss champion managed to defend the title that he has won last year and he did that in style as he dropped only four games in the two sets of the final.

RESULTS - SUNDAY, 6 NOVEMBER, 2011

Singles - Final
[3] R Federer (SUI) d [WC] K Nishikori (JPN) 61 63
