Sad news for Novak Djokovic and his fans, the world number one retired from the BNP Paribas tournament due to the old right shoulder problem and that means Tsonga advanced to the semi finals without playing. Two other upsets happened yesterday as Andy Murray and David Ferrer lost to Berdych and Isner respectively. The only favourite that escaped yesterday unharmed was Roger Federer who dispatched Juan Monaco in two sets.

RESULTS - FRIDAY, 11 NOVEMBER, 2011

Singles - Quarter-finals
[6] J Tsonga (FRA) d [1] N Djokovic (SRB) W/O (right shoulder)
[5] T Berdych (CZE) d [2] A Murray (GBR) 46 76(5) 64
[3] R Federer (SUI) d J Monaco (ARG) 63 75
J Isner (USA) d [4] D Ferrer (ESP) 63 36 63

So, we have a rather surprising semi finals line up, here are the odds from Intertops:

Jo Wilfried Tsonga v John Isner
 Jo Wilfried Tsonga   -240
 John Isner   +180

Roger Federer v Tomas Berdych
 Roger Federer   -320
 Tomas Berdych   +235

Good luck!

There were no surprises yesterday in the semi finals and Roger Federer will meet Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the big final. However, the two semi finals were quite different: Federer cruised past Berdych and looked confident throughout the match while Tsonga had a hard-fought match against John Isner. The American player came very close to winning the game in the third set as he had 3 match points at 6-5 but Tsonga regrouped and fought back with a bit of help from his home crowd.

RESULTS - SATURDAY, 12 NOVEMBER, 2011

Singles - Semi-finals
[3] R Federer (SUI) d [5] T Berdych (CZE) 64 63
[6] J Tsonga (FRA) d J Isner (USA) 36 76(1) 76(3)

Here are the odds for the final courtesy of Intertops:

Jo Wilfried Tsonga v Roger Federer
 Jo Wilfried Tsonga   +265
 Roger Federer   -370

Good luck!

One thing is certain: Roger Federer is in great shape. The Swiss champion claimed the title in Paris after defeating home crowd favorite Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the BNP Paribas Masters final. The first set was wrapped up in 30 minutes, then Tsonga tried to fight back in the second set but Federer was not to be denied.

RESULTS - SUNDAY, 13 NOVEMBER, 2011

Singles - Final
[3] R Federer (SUI) d [6] J Tsonga (FRA) 61 76(3)

Congratulations to Roger Federer!
