This year's ATP tour is over but there's a little more to enjoy for the tennis fans: the Davis Cup final! It will take place from December 2nd to December 4th in Seville and it will see Spain taking on Argentina. Here are the outright odds from Intertops:

Davis Cup 2011: To win the Davis Cup
Spain    -500
Argentina    +350

Good luck!

I obviously think Spain has this one.

I obviously think Spain has this one.

They certainly are the favourites considering that they are playing at home and on a clay court. But Davis Cup ties have a history of being quite unpredictable.

The Davis Cup final will start today with the first two singles matches, here are the odds from Intertops:

Rafael Nadal v Juan Monaco
 Rafael Nadal   -2500
 Juan Monaco   +1000

David Ferrer v Juan Martin Del Potro
 David Ferrer   -190
 Juan Martin Del Potro   +150

The Spaniards are firm favourites but the Argentinians are hoping for at least a 1-1 score at the end of the day.

Spain are almost there, they need to win just one more match in order to lift the 2011 Davis Cup! Rafael Nadal quickly dispatched Juan Monaco in the opening match but the second of the day was a lot more interesting with Ferrer and Del Potro fighting hard for five sets before the Spaniard prevailed.

Rafael Nadal v Juan Monaco 61 61 62
David Ferrer v Juan Martin Del Potro 62 67 36 64 63

The doubles match could well decide the tie today, Argentina have to win this if they want to hang in there. Here are the odds from Intertops:

Davis Cup Doubles : Lopez/Verdasco v Nalbandian/Schwank
F Lopez/ F Verdasco    -150
D Nalbandian/ E Schwank    +110

Good luck!

Argentina is still in with a chance as they have clinched the doubles match quite easily.

Lopez/Verdasco v Nalbandian/Schwank 4-6 2-6 3-6

The verdict is postponed for today when the last two singles games will be played with Spain needing just one win out of two to lift the trophy. Here are the odds from Intertops:

Rafael Nadal v Juan Martin Del Potro
 Rafael Nadal   -1000
 Juan Martin Del Potro   +600

David Ferrer v Juan Monaco
 David Ferrer   -500
 Juan Monaco   +350

Good luck!

Spain lifted the Davis Cup, as expected. Rafael Nadal didn't have the easiest of matches against Del Potro but the Spaniard pulled it off.

Rafael Nadal v Juan Martin Del Potro 1-6 6-4 6-1 7-6(0)

This is Spain's 5th Davis Cup title, congratulations!
